Springtime in England in pastels

The sun is now getting some strength and the days are longer. This is the signal for the colours of springtime to burst into bloom. One of the loveliest sights is an English blue bell wood where carpets of  sweet scented flowers grow as far as the eye can see.The flowers last for about 1 month depending on the weather and bloom from now ,April until early May.After the bluebells come rhododenrons and azaleas, often found in areas near pine woods.

Soft pastels on Canson pastel paper are good medium for drawing landscapes of England.
