SNOWDROPS

Snowdrops are pushing through the cold earth and coming out in sheltered spots beneath the trees.
There was a time when it was possible to buy bunches of them from market flower sellers but this is not the case any more, I have no idea why.
They are one of my favourite flowers ,their appearance heralding a promise of spring.

SPRING FLOWERS

A mild early January has brought spring flowers unseasonally forward. Daffodils like these are on sale in the shops for 99p.Tulips were about £2 in Aldi this morning.
Uplifting especially now the weather has turned very cold with sub zero temperatures.

OLD LONDON LUNCHTIME

London has many  popular lunch time venues just off the main tourist attractions.
Crown Passage,SW1  is my favourite.A traditional pub, The Red Lion jostles with some lovely ,tiny ,shops such as Lock's  hat shop  .There is a greasy spoon cafe crowded with workers from nearby building sites and round the corner in St James you will find some very posh shops selling wine, cigars and art work.All in view of St James's Palace where you can see the changing of the guard.

Back to Work
