WET DOGS SHAKING

Even when the weather is fine dogs have a knack of getting soaking wet in puddles, streams and on the beach.Dogs walkers know to beware of the big shake that dogs use to dry themselves off making everyone else within a few feet as wet as they are.

THE EARLY SHIFT

People going to work at first light pass my house on foot and bicycle .Construction workers are usually the earliest,I hear many languages spoken, especially Polish ,as they head towards the big red cranes in this rapidly developing city.

Cambridge city is busy with people shopping.
What shoppers are carrying seems suggest a story about them that  I like to capture in paintings .
Flowers may be  for a special anniversary gift.Tiffany's use tiny blue bags--is that an engagement ring or love token in there?
The pretty young woman in the red coat has several bags from designer label stores,a windfall or pay rise to celebrate perhaps.
Ladies cluster together to discuss where the best bargains may be had,it has to be the market,Lidl or Aldi for those.

SEEING RED

St Valentine's day is on 14th February and the flower shops are displaying red roses .
A gift of red  roses is always a romantic gesture.

SPRING COLOUR,ANEMONES, PRIMROSES and BLUEBELLS

Some of my favourite spring flowers are anemones .I love their bright colours and bold thick stems.They always look good in a very plain pot or glass tankard.
